Give up, Trying
Giving up is as Important as Trying
When and where is the right time to give up?
--
You might often hear many quotes that ask you to not give up. I don’t think it works for all matters in life. What I learned recently, is that knowing when we should stop is the same importance as trying.
Some of us probably want to do so many things in life but, the more I gain experience, the more I learn that what is more important is not how much we do because at the end of the day determining the priority is more important at all.
Time is something that is very limited but the one that is most precious in life. It is not an easy thing to admit we should give up on specific things. Here are some points that I consider when giving up is a better decision than trying.
Chemistry
Being attached to someone is something that is out of our control and it can’t be forced forever.
I’m not just talking about the spouse but also every human we meet whether it’s family, friends, colleagues, bosses, subordinates,s or even a place.
I personally often feel doesn’t belong in a place somehow, or feel like can’t click with certain people no matter how hard I try. In this situation, I just go away and decide to have as little business as possible with them.
I see some people around me try to convince others even under certain conditions they are like “licking”. I don’t think it necessary to do similar things because for me it is such lying and betraying myself.
I admit networking is one of my precious assets but, if to own it I must pretend to be someone else, it’s not worth my energy because the most precious asset for me is my own self.
I am not as judgmental as possible if there are things that I really can’t avoid dealing with those I know I can’t click with for some reason. Especially if it’s about work or things that are not only about personal things.
But convincing humans just because everyone likes them is sucks. We don’t need to feel guilty just because we have different opinions about someone no matter who they are.
